THE FIELD OF DISABILITY IS CLOSELY LINKED TO HUMAN RIGHTS & INCLUSION Here are some links to other materials: “Disability, development and inclusion: key information resources” This is the title of a directory and CD-ROM package produced by Source International Information Centre. It lists, both in print and online, 300 of the most practical and useful disability resources, aimed at organisations working with disabled people in developing countries. A wide range of themes include human rights, gender, poverty and mainstreaming, as well as planning and management of disability programmes and service delivery relating to children, community-based rehabilitation, mental health and HIV and AIDS. MIUSA has a website, manuals and videos to empower people with disabilities around the world to achieve their human rights through international exchange and international development.
Source has a guide to disability, inclusion and development with resources on subjects from 'Inclusive Education' to 'Planning & Evaluation of Disability in Development'. The Dutch Coalition on Disability and Development offers a free newsletter subscription. Enabling Education Network - resources especially on inclusion/education. "Access to water and sanitation for disabled people" is a website developed by The Water, Engineering and Development Centre (WEDC). “Employing people with learning disabilities” (PDF) is a manual written for the UK, so discusses aspects like the legal framework.
